Two voltages, two functions, one result

For the Anama Reception Hall in Lucera, in the province of Foggia, LEDCO provided Cavallone s.r.l. with two distinct solutions for two equally distinct needs: safely illuminating the elements in contact with water and enhancing the overall architectural development of the structure.

48V IP68 LED Strip: Light in Contact with Water

The 48V IP68 LED Strip was installed along the steps of the fountain and on the steps of the pool, a choice that was no coincidence: the IP68 rating guarantees resistance not only to splashes but also to prolonged immersion, a necessary condition for an installation that is in direct contact with moving water.

The 48V voltage also allows for distances of up to 30 meters to be covered from a single power point, without voltage drops: a crucial feature for an installation like this, where the fountain extends over a considerable length and the goal was to maintain a uniform line of warm light along the entire profile of the steps, without dipping in intensity at points farthest from the power supply.

The result is a continuous line of light that follows the geometry of the stepped pool, accompanying the movement of the water with stable and reliable light over time, even in an outdoor setting subject to constant humidity.

220V IP65 LED Strip: the light that shapes the architecture

The 220V IP65 LED Strip was used for the upper part of the structure, along the building’s perimeter cornice. In this case, the IP65 protection rating meets the needs of an outdoor installation exposed to the elements but not in direct contact with water, while the 220V power supply allows for coverage of up to 50 meters from a single power point, simplifying the installation over a long and extensive linear extension, such as the building’s perimeter.

The result is a continuous line of warm light that follows the entire contour of the cornice, highlighting the structure’s horizontal development and precisely defining its silhouette even after sunset.

Two solutions, a coherent project

The choice of two different products for two applications with different technical requirements (submersible resistance for the fountain, weather resistance for the cornice) is a concrete example of how selecting the most suitable protection rating and power supply voltage allows for reliable results over time, even in complex outdoor contexts such as a reception area.
