For the prestigious Motorworld exhibition space in Cologne (Cologne), the PIAD customer has chosen LEDCO to illuminate an exhibition platform dedicated to a Ferrari, enhancing shape and details with a lighting design designed to emphasise dynamism and technology.
The structure, set up at the fair for a period of three months, had the objective of creating an elegant and technological stage around the car: the lighting had to guide the visitor’s gaze towards the car, define the volumes of the platform and transmit a contemporary atmosphere, without invasive elements.
LEDCO solution: products and role in the project
To achieve a spectacular and at the same time professional result, LEDCO has provided a combination of technical line products:
PR115 profile (walkable cover)
Installed on the floor, recessed along the perimeter of the platform, the PR115 profile with walkable cover defines the contour of the platform and acts as a discreet but incisive luminous edge. The black finish and the mechanical management designed for tradling guarantee aesthetics and resistance for the fairground context.
CT580/BLE
The CT580/BLE control unit has been used for quick lighting management via Bluetooth app. At the fair, the CT580/BLE allowed the PIAD team to easily adjust the light parameters in real time, adapting the intensity and synchronising the layout without complex on-site interventions.
SL200RGB20 High Density RGB LED Strip
To achieve a uniform and full colour effect along the perimeter and at strategic points, the SL200RGB20 strip was adopted: high-density LED strip designed for homogeneous RGB emission. In this project, the RGB light was set in a static way, designed to focus the gaze towards the car and enhance its features.
Design and resulting Approach
The LEDCO concept for this installation was based on some fundamental principles:
Focused enhancement: the combined use of high-density RGB strips and walkable profile has created a luminous border that directs attention towards the Ferrari, without distracting from the exposed object.
Discrete technology: the management through CT580/BLE has allowed quick and precise adjustments, fundamental in a fair context where timing and effectiveness are critical.
Robustness and design: the PR115 profile, designed for installation and with walkable cover, guarantees resistance and aesthetic cleanliness, essential elements for a set-up that must withstand multiple installations and staff changes.
The final result was an exhibition platform that combines scenography, technology and professionalism, able to capture the attention of the public and express the values of the exposed brand.
